In Sept 2025 Novitas Capital Advisors Limited became aware it’s name and John Gilligan’s name were being used without the knowledge or agreement of either the business or John Gilligan. A website was set up purporting to be the website of Novitas Capital Advisors Limited. The communications (a mixture of phone calls and letters) offers to recover pension monies which people had previously invested into various schemes all of which failed.
As part of the communication people are being asked to make payments to obtain a Trade Reference Number and they are being provided with documentation purporting to come from the HM Courts and Tribunals Service, the FSCS (Financial Services Compensation Scheme), the Financial Ombudsman and from Companies House.
